*Had the brilliant opportunity to play percussion for a set with the incredible legends Randy & Jah Roots Australia's first Reggae Band.
*Looking forward to creating the voice of Papa Teddy and Sprinklers in a new animation, Big Words Small Stories airing the US, Canada, and Australia.
*Loved the opportunity to tutor/mentor and adjudicate mock auditions for Theatre Blacks.
*Completed the Australian tour of Disney's Frozen the Musical and now head to do the International Tour in Singapore
*Very excited to originate the role of Roy Brown & Others and cover Reverend Brewster & Others in the premiere David Venn Enterprises Australian tour of Elvis, A Musical Revolution.
What a fun time returning to the catwalk as a swimwear model on Gold Coast Swimwear Week Fashion Show in Queensland Australia.
So the secret is out…I have created a new show called, Blacknificense-The Cotton Club Experience. The world premiere is 24th January at Chapel Off Chapel in Naarm, Melbourne, Australia 7 pm Black Carpet & 8 pm show. It is a cabaret style show set in Harlem's Cotton Club. The music span from 1910-1969. There is so much of history (in that period of time that it requires this run on sentence) from World War, Great Depression, Harlem Renaissance, Harlem Riots, Stone Wall Uprising, Women’s Rights, Trans Rights, Indigenous Rights Movement in Australia, Civil Right Movement in America, Integration, Native American Rights, and much more. The cotton Club had a checkered past so I decided to change one thing about the show…actually the only fictious part of the show is who could attend. At my cotton club everyone is welcome to the great escape filled with art, poetry, song, acceptance and most importantly LOVE.
What to expect at Blacknificense-The Cotton Club? A roller coaster ride of emotions and magical moments of interspection, retrospection, and a shift in perception about yourself and the world around you.
